Palette battle: Sephora IT Palette in nude vs. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Hello everyone!

Today it is time for a palette battle:
I want to show you an eyeshadow palette which I got during my last holidays at Sephora, as the titel says the Sephora IT Palette and I also want to compare it to the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette which I am using on a daily basis since about 1 year.

I went to Sephora cause I wanted to get the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette but it was completely sold out. So I went through Sephora and found the last piece of the IT Palette in nude and I had to take it.

The palette is from the colors similar to the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. Both palettes include 12 colors: highligthers, brown, grey, bronze, shimmery, matte and darker colors. The Naked 2 has a very beautiful gold shade named "half baked" (one of my all time favourite color) - the Sephora IT Palette doesn't have any comparable golden color in it but it has two rosé colors that are very nice, which you don't have in the Naked 2 Palette. (If you are looking for something rosé you would have to buy the Naked 3 Palette).

I did color swatches for you guys where you can see that both palettes contain shimmery and matte shades from light to dark. You can do a lot of different looks with both palettes from natural daytime make up up to smokey eyes, nighttime or clubbing make up. I do love neutral colors in general that's why I absolutely had to get this palette.

I noticed that the pigmentation of the Naked 2 Palette is better than the pigmentation of the Sephora IT Palette but for me it is ok to use.

Packagingwise is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette in a very solid metal tin box. I leave mine open all of the time cause I have problems with closing it. I always have to press it very hard together to be able to close it which bothers me a lot to be honest. With the Naked 2 Palette you get a synthetic hair eyeshadow brush and a mini version of the Naked Lipgloss. They eyeshadow brush is quite ok, but I still prefer to use my Sigma eyeshadow blending brush because the results get smoother. The mini lipgloss is very very minty tasting, which is not everybody's thing. The minty smell was so intensive that my boyfriend asked me: what is smelling so weird in here? *lol* You can guess that I am not wearing that gloss anymore after this. The color of the gloss is very neutral, fitting to the palette, but it doesn't blow me away because if I would wear any no-name shiny gloss it would look the same.
The Sephora IT Palette has a elegant brown reptile-leather look packaging with a comfy magnetic closure, it is very easy to open and close it compared to my Naked 2 Palette. With this palette you also get an eyeshadow brush and also a brown eyeliner pencil. Again here I don't use the eyeshadow brush, because I always use my Sigma eyeshadow blending brush. The brown eyeliner pencil is pretty, but when it comes to duration I already had better ones, but it is ok. The eyeliner pencil make much more sense for me than the very strong minty lipgloss.
The Sephora IT Palette has a protection sheet over they eyeshadows on which is marked where and how to use which shadow. I think this is very helpful and a nice little detail that the Naked Palettes don't feature in genreal.

For the Sephora IT Palette I paid 32,- US Dollars which is awesome in comparison to the Naked 2 Palette which is sold for 52,- US Dollars.

The bottom line is that my personal winner is the Naked 2 Palette because the pigmentation of the eyeshadows is better than the pigmentation of the Sephora IT Palette, but I also like to use the IT Palette again and again, so I can recommend both palettes.

If you are on a smaller budget and you don't want to spend 52 or more Dollars for a nice nude eyeshadow palette then you can definately buy the Sephora IT Palette, you get a lot of pretty shades for a good price.

I really hope that you like my little review from today and I wish you guys a great remaining day!

Read you next time!
Lots of love,
Eva

Hallo liebe Leute!

Mein Fazit:

Eva

OPI Nagellacke tolles Schnäppchen - OPI nailpolishes hot deal

Hallo liebe Leserinnen!

zuhause.

Eva

Hello dear readers!

Yesterday I  was at my local drugstore BIPA and I saw that they had some cosmetic items on sale.
I found a little plastic desk with OPI nailpolishes on it in diffrent colors and shades and I could not believe my eyes. Normally OPI nailpolishes are sold about 17.58 US Dollar per piece here in Austria and since yesterday they only cost 1.35 US Dollar at the BIPA stores. As I love OPI nailpolishes I had to pick some of them and bring them babies home. Unfortunately the colors red and black were already taken, some of my favourite colors, but I found some really nice nude shades and I am so so happy with my bargain. If I would have purchased them to the regular price I would have paid almost 53.- US Dollar and since they are on sale right now I only paid  4.05 US Dollar for all 3 together, yay !! I wished so much that they would do this more often during the year. I hope they don't discontinue OPI at BIPA though, I have to watch this and keep you informed...

The 3 colors I finally picked are all neutrals and kinda nude shades. The last two colors resemble each other on the first sight but the color "My very first knockwurst" is a light nude pink and the color "Don't pretzel my buttons" is a nude beige without a pink tone in it. They have really funny names by the way haha.

If you are currently staying in Austria I just can recommend visiting a BIPA store near you and pick one of those OPI nailpolishes cause I think you won't get them any cheaper somewhere else. They had also some green, blue, purple, diffrent nude and pinkish colors, coming by is really worth it!

Wishing everybody a nice evening and a good start into your Christmas holiday season!

Lot of greetings,

Eva

The Balm Lidschattenpalette - Meet Matt(e) Nude - nude matte eyeshadow palette review

Bildquelle: source: http://www.makeup4all.com

Alles Liebe,
Nici

Hello lovelies,

since I am using my „Meet Matt(e) Nude“ palette for one and a half month I thought I do a little review about it. The whole palette contains nude matte eyeshadows. The size of the eyeshadows is really large so you get a lot for your money. The palette costs about € 39,00 if you buy it online for example at www.kosmetik4less.de.

I think they are perfekt for every day and really suit everybody.
I use the light colours for my eyelid and the darker colours fort he crease. The colours are highly pigmented and easy to apply. They are also easy to blend.
I think with this palette you can create a very classy and elegant every day look.
On the picture I swatched all the colours. On my eye makeup picture I used „Matt Singht“ for the eyelid and „Matt Hung“ for my crease and blended everything with my Sigma brush E 40. (I also lined the upper waterline with a black pencil eyeliner and applied black mascara.)
I think the eyeshadow palette is really great for a classy every day look. Unfortunately I made the experience that in local shops there are not a lot of high quality matte eyeshadows. So not many people use them. So if you want to go for a different look than this palette shouldn´t be missing in your beautycase :-).
Lots of Love,
Nici

Neuer Nagellack von LOOK by Bipa - New nailpolish from LOOK by Bipa

Hallo liebe Leute!

Hey guys!

Short time ago I bought a new nailpolish from Bipa out of the series "NUDE touch".
I am very excited about this nail polish, the color is like a very nice beigy/rose pastel nude, that fits everywhere no matter what you're gonna wear. The nail polish is very easy to apply and in the light it makes the nails shining which I find very awesome. The price was very affordable, I have seen today that the nailpolish is now on sale for just 1,59 Euro. The one and only thing, that I don't like is that it doesn't hold longer than 2-3 maximum days, then I have to renew the polish. But overall, for that cheap price, I am very satisfied with it, since it goes on very well and I love the color. If somebody is looking for a decent beautiful nude nail polish for a small budget, I would recommend you to buy this, I am very happy with it. Here I can show you the pictures:

und so sieht der Lack aufgetragen aus:
this is what the nailpolish looks like on my nails:
